My Sweat-Proof Gym Makeup Routine

Even though it’s ‘just’ the gym, I still like to look and feel my best. However i personally don’t feel there’s need for a full face of makeup as it just ends up melting off your face mid burpee. I try and keep my gym makeup routine super simple, quick and use products that don’t have the tendency to fall off my face – *oily skin problems*.

I recently started using the Nude By Nature complexion essentials kit from Debenhams, which has been a handy go-to thanks to it’s variety of products. The perfecting primer is not only great for my full-face looks, but is also a perfect base for a light cover of powder foundation at the gym. My typical routine includes:

  • Primer
  • Concealer under my eyes
  • Thin layer of loose powder foundation
  • Bronzer on the cheeks
  • Lip balm or moisturising nude coloured lipstick
  • 1 or 2 coats of my favourite mascara

My usual day makeup consists of liquid foundation, but i’ve found that using a powder version is ideal for the gym. The powder sits better, and has a longer staying power whilst mattifying my face.
