It’s pretty much tradition in my family that a birthday means afternoon tea. Cakes, scones, sandwiches and a little too much champagne is simply a must on special occasions, so that’s exactly what we did last week for mumma’s birthday. We headed off to Matfen Hall In Northumberland and seriously over-indulged. I kind of regretted not taking these photos before hand *great amounts of breathing-in was going on right here* but what better a location to shoot some of New Looks Heritage Trend Items than at a country house (that i would quite like to move into).
If you’ve followed me on social media for a while you’ll know i’m a true girly girl when it comes to style. Skirts, blouses and anything pretty are completely up my alley, so i was super excited to be styling these pieces. The knitted skater skirt is so flattering (even after 6 cakes) and hugs in all the right places, and the knitted high neck top is the perfect autumn/winter essentiall! I also finally got my hands on some over the knee boots, and i can’t get them off. Don’t they just work with every outfit? This pair are super comfy too, so they’re perfect for a full day shopping (i need that kinda’ reliability in my life).
The Heritage trend seems to be one to come back most A/W seasons. Think tweed patterns, tartan, high necks and warm winter colours like mustard, grey and burgundy. New look have an amazing collection to get you right on trend, as well as get you wrapped up for the cold months ahead.
What do you think of the Heritage trend? Watch out for another outfit next week too to see how another piece from New Look’s Heritage Collection can be styled! xox
